2008 PICTORIAL DIRECTORY PROJECT

As part of Reverend Mas's 40th anniversary, Toyo Miyatake Studio will be coming to Senshin-Ji to photograph all temple members for the pictorial directory. Alan Miyatake will be our photographer and will also visit Keiro, Lincoln Heights so we can include our Senshin members who currently live there. In addition to creating a pictorial directory, you will have the opportunity to purchase professionally retouched portrait packages and photographs of you and your family.

Cost will be $15 per sitting for families and individuals and includes 1 free directory per paid sitting. Sitting fee for individuals without directory is $10. Seniors purchasing a package will be allowed to sit for memorial pictures at no extra charge for the sitting. Groups of 10 + or with family pets are asked to visit the Toyo Miyatake Studio in San Gabriel. Sitting fee at the San Gabriel studio is also $15.

The goal of any fine portrait is to direct the viewer’s eye to the faces in the portrait. Simple long sleeve garments in medium to dark tones of black, brown, gray, burgundy or blue are pleasing choices when photographed against a medium or dark background. Choose clothing in the same tonal ranges so that no single member of the family stands out because the clothing is too light or bright as compared to the rest of the family. Try to match the styles too, formal or informal.
